Clinical consultation

Clinical consultation for licensed and pre-licensed mental-health professionals all across the country.

Have there been moments in your practice when you hit a wall and kind of thought, “Uh… eek… ACK!” and maybe quickly changed the subject?  Or maybe you gave it a whirl and just ended up feeling like you didn’t do the best you could in that moment?

Don’t worry, I’ve got you!

Lots of therapists lose business because their clients don’t think they’re open about sex and relationships – even though they are! – we get a lot of clients that way, by the way – and we’d like to help you hang on to them and build on the rapport and trust you’ve worked so hard to grow.

Consultation with me will help you circle back around and feel confident and relaxed the next time something pops up in session that would otherwise make you feel out of your element.

 Who is consultation for?

Consultation sessions are for all therapists who would like a little extra insight, support, and guidance when it comes to the topics of sex, non-monogamy, kink, BDSM, and all the other stuff related to sexuality and relationships.

You’re already a thoughtful, sensitive clinician who cares a lot about your clients, and maybe you specialize in eating disorders – or grief or anxiety or depression, etc.  You feel confident when your niche is the focus of your session, but you begin to feel a whole lot less confident when sex is brought up.

Or...

Maybe you love talking about sex and relationships, but your other consultation support doesn’t quite seem to have the depth of knowledge you need and crave for your practice.

If you are either of these kinds of therapists, then this is for you!  Share your case and concerns and we’ll work through the issues in a way that helps you feel knowledgeable and supported without making you feel like you’re out of touch.

This is NOT for you if…

  • you want to stick to the topic that’s advertised on your website (and sex isn’t it)

  • you think that clients should only talk about sex and relationships with a “sex therapist” (and that isn’t you)

  • you don’t think you need the additional support about this stuff because you’ve already got some (good for you!)

Consultation…

  • can be written off as a professional growth expense on your taxes

  • is confidential

  • is only for therapists and counselors

  • will include in-depth discussions

  • focuses on personal attention and professional growth

  • meets as often as you need

How much does it cost?

50 minute consultation fee for fully licensed clinicians is $200.

For associates the fee is $125.

Even one session a month can help you retain clients and is more than worth the expense in order to nurture and secure a continued relationship with a hard-earned client.

Clinical supervision

for Licensed Professional Counselor Associates all across Texas

As passionate as I am about working with clients, I feel equally - if not more - passionate about mentoring new associates as they grow and spread their wings professionally.  The supervision relationship is a critical one in any fledgling therapist’s life; there needs to be trust, respect, and appreciation.  Making sure you find the right one is the first step to a beautiful experience in this magical profession.

My expertise with sex, sexuality, and relationships is certainly niche - and a bonus, for sure - but I always consider myself a generalist, a holistic practitioner.  I treat the whole client, not just their sexual selves and I encourage and support a similar outlook in an associate.

We do a disservice to our clients if we communicate to them that their whole selves aren’t welcome in the room with us, so that means we get to flex and learn in all sorts of exciting aspects of the human experience: grief, self-esteem, trauma, life-transitions, parenting, anxiety, depression, the whole human theater is there for us to behold and plug into.

I’ve been practicing since 2011 and in private practice with this particular interest since 2013.  I built a full and thriving private-pay-only practice all on my own and I know the backend of business-building, marketing, and how to strategically battle imposter syndrome and confidence issues along the way.

I will do my best to not only guide you in professional development, but to also help you identify your unique voice and approach for your own life-long practice.
